The 52nd National Convention of Indian Institution of Industrial Engineering (IIIE) was held at Bhilai during 26 - 28th November 2010. Three delegates from the Department of Business Administration, Prof. S. Sivakumar, Dr. K. Gopalakrishnan Nair and Sri. Sabu K attended the convention.
Dr. K. Gopalakrishnan Nair received this year's 'Ramaswamy Cup' award for outstanding contribution to the Industrial Engineering profession.

Student Achievements:
• Two students, Arun S and Vishnu R of Department of Business Administration participated in the National Competition for Management Students 2010 conducted at Bangalore by All India Management Association (AIMA) in September 2010 on the topic "Managing Management and Organisational Challenges in India" and they were ranked as one among the top six teams among the seventy five teams from various management institutions who participated in the competition.
• The students of the Department of Business Administration participated in management events at various B-Schools. The list of prizes bagged is mentioned below:
• 1st prize in HR game at School of Management Studies, CUSAT
• Overall trophy with 1st prizes in Best Management Team and International Business at Sree Narayana Guru Institute of Science & Technology, Paravoor
• 1st prize in HR game, Best Management team and Best Manager at SAINTGITS Institute of Management, Kottayam
• Vishal Anand Ghosh, 1st year student of Department of Business Administration participated in the Best Manager competition, PRAJWAL 2010 held at the CIAL Academy, Nedumbassery, Cochin on 27th and 28th September 2010 and won the 1st prize and bagged big price money.
